Guest Speaker: Cael Chappell worked with African weavers from 1991-2026. Emanating from his understanding of African basketry, he quickly developed his own unique style of whimsical weaving from waxed linen thread. Cael was selected for Excellence in Fibers 2024 by Fiber Art Now. His baskets have been juried into many National Basketry Organization and Handweavers Guild of America exhibits. He was selected by Homo Faber Guide to appear in their US launch. His work has been featured in many other exhibitions and publications. Fiber on 4th is his growing artist hub in New Mexico.
